Bodrum is our last Turkish port. It has a pier so we do not have to take a tender to and from shore.
The weather forecast is in the 90's today with moderate humidity.
Bodrum is a small port city across from the island of Kos, Greece. There is tourist trade between the two cities via local ferry boats.

We signed up for an excursion for a city tour and then a drive and visit to a small fishing village called Gumusluk for lunch.
The bus started out by taking us through the town to the Myndos Gate, part of a wall in Bodrun.

We stopped to see the wall and arch as well as a moat and take photos.
We then boarded the coach for the drive to Gumusluk. Gumusluk is a small fishing port and resort and the claim to fame is Rabbit Island. During the day the tide goes out and one can wade through the water to go on the island. On the seaside promenade are some shops and several restaurants.
Our guide only gave us one hour to sightsee and have lunch. We joined our friends at a table at a seafood restaurant to have lunch. Service was a bit slow and the food was good but expensive compared to other meals in Turkey.
On the way to the bus we found a loukamada stand and our guide and we asked him to order some of the dessert for us. The loukamadas were very good!

On the way back to Bodrum the bus stopped at a fancy hotel for us to view the harbor and have tea and cookies. This stop was not necessary as we just had lunch and the time would have been better used for the driver to take us around the town of Bodrum for sightseeing.
The bus took us back to the pier at the end of our drive back from Gumusluk. I was disappointed in Azamara for offering this tour. It did not really take us in the city for a drive nor would the driver leave us off in town. We were told the city was a 10-15 min. walk which normally we would do but not in 93 degree weather and humidity. We bought a couple of trinkets at the nearby souvenir stand and went back to the bus.
I would recommend cruisers to by pass excursions and just go into town and sightsee, have lunch, take photos and experience Bodrum.
