April 19, 2019 Our last day in Tokyo

Today we were supposed to go on a tour organized by our tour company. Because we were responsible for making our way to the meeting point on public transportation we called the tour company and cancelled. This was another instance where the tour company was not very helpful. We expected to be picked up at the hotel and taken on the tour.

Instead we took a taxi to the old fish market where we wandered around the different food and souvenir booths for about an hour.

The old fish market was about 4 blocks by 4 blocks with narrow aisles. There were booths selling food to go and people would order food and eat it standing up- no tables to sit down.

We decided to walk up to the Ginza district to walk around and have lunch. Eventually we found a department store that had restaurants on one floor. We found a Tempura restaurant and had a very nice lunch there.

We went back on to the main street and walked a little before hailing a taxi to take us back to the hotel.

We had our last buffet dinner at the hotel.
